This was the day we discovered the true beauty of Maui! We traveled up country and saw beautiful stretches of open land, large ranches, and even a tree full of purple flowers. The fresh picked strawberries in Kula were almost sweeter than the view, with a garden also filled with kale, carrots, and all sorts of yummy veggies. The Lavender Farm had an elegant garden, an amazing hillside landscape, and a small cottage store full of everything lavender! We also visited the stick work sculpture, "On The Wild Side," at Hi No'eau Visual Arts Center. So cool! It was pouring rain, but we had to run out of the car and take a run through it! And here at the end is my Uncle Pat who surprised us all when he busted out his harmonica, and started playing all our favorite childhood songs. We were all like, "who knew!?" All in all, it was a fabulous weekend filled with delicious eats, endless beauty, and major family bonding. Great success!
